Object Identification and Sorting Using Vision-Guided Industrial Robot
This project uses a FANUC LR Mate 200 iD with a robot-mounted camera to identify the location and orientation of a cart in which boxes will be placed. I successfully programmed the robot using the proprietary teach pendant and iRVision, FANUC's fully integrated visual detection system. The vision system allows the cart to be placed anywhere within the field of view of the camera and the robot will know where it is and adjust for the cart's orientation. The conveyor belt and box feeder mechanism were completely designed and programmed by me. Through this project, I became a FANUC Certified Robot Operator-1.
